President/CEO First Chance Mortgage, IncBiography
President and CEO of First Chance Mortgage,
I have been in institutional lending since 1972. I retired from an international banking institution in 2002. In 2001, with my son Brian, we started First Chance Mortgage in 2001 incorporating in 2003.
With the experience and contacts I have developed over the years, I have seen the many changes that have taken place in the industry. My rule as president of the company is that the “Customer is the most important asset of the company”. I keep my hand on the pulse of all customer activity and insure total access to me at all times so you, the customer can rest assured you are not just another number. My professional background in Originations, Marketing, Personnel, REO supervision, Collections, and Training has allowed our company to develop strong relationships with our clients over the years. Having been a lifelong resident of Georgia (except for a 20 month residency in Florida), I am familiar with the geographical and demographical make-up of the state. I had the privilege to travel extensively with the company I retired from allowing me to become familiar with many areas of the United States and abroad.
I grew up in Waycross Georgia and graduated from Ware County High School in 1971. Having deep rooted moral standards, I have always felt being from South Georgia has allowed me the opportunity to formulate our customer focused business policies founded on the simple principal “Would I do business with that person or company!†Our goal is for our customers to always be able to answer “yes†to that one question.
I attended Valdosta State College where is studied journalism and political science with continued education at Georgia State University in the late 80’s. I enjoy Golf, Travel, Investing , working with the Rotary Club , and most of all I enjoy working with first time home buyers helping them achieve ownership of a new home at affordable terms. I have an open door policy for all employees and customers to make suggestions and express concerns at all times so that we can continue to grow our base of satisfied customers.
I have been married to my wife Sharon since 1973 and we have 3 grown children of which 2 work with First Chance Mortgage today. In stressful economic times, it is important for us as a business, to always insure our customers are treated equally and fairly so that they can rest comfortably knowing that “They would do business AGAIN with our company and recommend others to us to do the same…â€
